Journey to Nourishment
From the precision of engineering to the profound wisdom of Ayurveda—here is the full, unfiltered story of how pain became purpose, birthing Meal Heal YOU as your sanctuary for healing through digestion.
The Structured World I Knew
I began my journey as an Industrial Engineer from India, driven by a passion for standardisations and Innovation. I moved to Ireland to pursue my Master's, eager to build a future on solid foundations. What followed was a successful career in demanding industrial engineering roles and project management positions. Life felt purposeful—deadlines met with precision, projects delivered on time, promotions earned through dedication. I thrived in this world of blueprints, timelines, and tangible results, believing I had everything under control.
The Shadow Years: 2019-2021
But beneath that polished exterior, deeper imbalances were brewing. The years 2019, 2020, and 2021 became my darkest chapter—a time of decisions that no longer aligned with my true self, deteriorating health, harmful habits, and mental turmoil that turned my world upside down. Support from loved ones was there, and I am deeply grateful for those who stayed by my side, yet it wasn't enough because I wasn't truly helping myself. The Universe sent clear signs through synchronicities and bodily whispers, but I kept ignoring them, pushing forward with choices that only deepened my suffering.
It culminated in a 13cm fibroid on the left wall of my uterus, pressing against my hips and legs, making me swell to the point where strangers mistook me for a pregnant woman and offered pitying glances. My periods brought excruciating pain, heavy flow, unexplained weight gain—especially in my breasts—and a profound sense of depletion. One doctor, after reviewing my blood tests, delivered the harsh truth: my body lacked essential nutrients—no iron, no folic acid, no vitamins, nothing. I drove home in tears, feeling utterly broken for the first time.
The Depths of Physical and Emotional Pain
Hospital visits became routine, with daily blood tests requiring multiple needles because of my small veins—leaving my arms scarred and bruised, resembling marks from something far more sinister. Even an MRI had to be stopped midway; the pain triggered so intensely that I cried out loudly, begging them to let me sit up, as lying down was impossible with the fibroid's pressure. Nights were torture—I could only sleep sitting upright, and there were entire stretches where sleep evaded me completely, leading to hallucinations and disjointed conversations from sheer exhaustion.
One morning stands out as my absolute breaking point: it took me two full hours to shower, simply applying soap and rinsing, because I couldn't bend down to reach it. My movements were agonizingly slow, every effort a battle. In that moment, jobless and reliant on strong painkillers whose side effects still linger today, all my childhood traumas resurfaced—flashing back-to-back alongside regrets over bad decisions and habits. Hopes for health, career, and a meaningful life evaporated completely. I surrendered, feeling utterly hopeless.
The Turning Point: Surgery and Slow Rebirth
In 2021, I returned to India for a myomectomy surgery, where the fibroid—which had grown to the size of a coconut—was successfully removed. Recovery was far from easy; habits die hard, and the emotional scars ran deep. But something shifted within me. I began to truly listen—to my body, to the persistent nudges from the Universe. Change started subtly with my food: no longer generic meals, but intuitive choices tailored to my needs. This sparked an awakening. My mind cleared, relationships with loved ones deepened into something real and nourishing, and my career found new stability. Life began to feel like magic unfolding.
That magic traced back to food—research confirms its profound impact on the mind and, by extension, our entire lives. The saying "You are what you eat" evolved for me into "You are what you digest," revealing how true nourishment reshapes everything from within.
Embracing Ayurveda: Education and Transformation
My curiosity led me to Ayurveda, India's rich ancient tradition that I had somehow overlooked amid modern life. I immersed myself, earning a Diploma in Ayurveda Nutrition and Dietetics, alongside certifications in Yoga Teacher Training and Breathwork. Even as I continued in engineering, I applied these principles diligently to myself and my husband, witnessing remarkable shifts in energy, clarity, and vitality. After months of this private transformation, a powerful realization hit: why was I keeping this gift to myself? This beautiful lifestyle deserved to be shared. That's when Meal Heal YOU was born—not merely as a business, but as my heartfelt mission to nurture others, starting with the foundation of digestion.
Today, as a self-employed entrepreneur (fully registered and insured in Ireland), I offer meal prep services, consultations, and evening yoga/breathwork classes, blending my engineering precision with Ayurvedic wisdom.
The Essence of Meal Heal YOU
Meal Heal YOU is more than meals—it's a personalized experience designed to protect and heal your vital energies, beginning with optimal digestion. We craft dosha-specific nourishment using seasonal Irish ingredients: grounding stews for Vata, cooling salads for Pitta, invigorating spices for Kapha. Integrated with breathwork rituals and mindful practices, it reignites your agni (digestive fire), transforming every bite into sustained prana and radiant glow. This is the nurturing embrace I longed for during my darkest days—now extended to you.
Science Validates the Ancient Path
Modern research powerfully supports Ayurveda's insights: the gut microbiome, housing 70-80% of our immune system, produces 95% of the body's serotonin, directly influencing mood, hormonal balance, and mental clarity. Studies link poor digestion to conditions like fibroids through estrogen dominance and chronic inflammation, yet dosha-aligned nutrition reduces inflammatory markers by up to 40% and boosts overall energy by 60% within 30 days. Harvard's gut-brain axis research shows how stress disrupts nutrient absorption—our tailored plans restore it, fostering effortless vitality, clearer skin, stable emotions, and profound inner peace.
